Description

Vilhelmina municipality is now looking for you who are currently training to become a nurse or occupational therapist.

This summer, during June, July, and August, you have the opportunity to work alongside a licensed nurse or licensed occupational therapist and perform delegated tasks based on your experience and completed parts of your training. Delegated tasks for nursing students may include, for example, sampling, catheter insertion, medication distribution, wound care, etc., and for occupational therapy students, e.g., handling assistive devices, assisting in assistive device trials, phone calls, etc.

The medical unit is responsible for health and medical care in the special accommodations and home care in Vilhelmina municipality. The unit employs nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and foot care specialists. We have a close collaboration with the health clinic in Vilhelmina and cooperate with other units within the social services area in our daily work. We apply operational and individual-based scheduling and have flexible working hours agreements.

As an assistant to the nurse, your tasks will primarily be to assist the nurse in the specific care at Vilhelmina municipality's special accommodations, short-term care, or home care. You will work according to the social committee's goals and guidelines, as well as established operational goals for nurses.

You will work daytime, evenings, and weekends up to full-time based on agreement. To be considered, we want you to work most of the summer.

As an assistant to the occupational therapist, your tasks will primarily be to assist the occupational therapist in facilitating everyday life for our patients with the goal of improving/maintaining their ability to be as independent as possible.

You will work according to the social committee's goals and guidelines, as well as established operational goals for occupational therapists.

You will work daytime Monday to Friday up to full-time based on agreement. To be considered, we want you to have the opportunity to work most of the summer.

Qualifications

For the above position, we require that you are in training to become a nurse or occupational therapist and have completed at least one semester of the nursing program or occupational therapy program. A B driver's license is required.

You need to master Swedish in both spoken and written form.
